Ghosts

Ghosts? Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen a ghost or know somebody who has? How about a photo? Have you ever seen a really good and convincing ghost photo?

I know the argument against a good ghost photo is that today with digital technology and Photoshop it’s so easy to fake a photo. Well what about an old photo? Let’s go back to 1919 onboard the HMS Daedalus a British warship.

This photograph was taken by retired RAF officer Sir Victor Goddard in 1919 but not published until 1975. In this photo we can see Goddard’s squadron which served aboard the HMS Daedalus.

Now take a look at the man on the top row, fourth from the left. Look behind him and you can clearly be seen the face of another man. This man was identified as Freddy Jackson. Freddy Jackson was an air mechanic who had accidentally been killed by an aircraft propeller two days earlier. This photo was taken on the day of his funeral. Apparently Mr. Jackson decided to show up for the group photo.
